About Whyld River



Hi there and welcome to Whyld River!

Whyld River was founded in November of 2017 by Rachel (that's me!) and my rescue dog River.

River is the inspiration and the driving force behind the Whyld River brand.  He is my best friend and favorite adventure partner.

Unfortunately, as much as River loves our outdoor adventures he really isn't built that well for the cold changeable weather in the Pacific Northwest.  I began looking for better gear for River for our overnight adventures after a backpacking trip near Mt. Hood left him shaking with cold for hours.  

I was so disappointed by what I found!  Gear with reviews that were left unanswered.  Products that seemed cheaply made with astronomical prices.

I decided there had to be a better way to buy the gear I needed for River online.  If I couldn't find it, I would just have to build it! 

In 2018, Whyld River launched its' first product: our DoggyBag, an innovative sleep system for dogs.  Since then we have been gathering feedback and scouring the internet for small innovative brands doing cool things in gear design, collaboration, and giving back.

In 2019 our goal will be to start introducing some of the other cool small brands we have found and to start collaborating more with other unique companies doing amazing things in our world.
